Job Title: Care Aide / Home Support Worker – Salmon Arm (Weekend Availability Required)
Location: Salmon Arm, BC in a beautiful home in a beautiful location.
Job Type: Part-Time/Casual Care Aide for a Senior gentleman with Lewey Bodies Dementia.
Available Shifts (7 Days a Week): Day Shift: 8:30 AM – 3:30
PM Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Note: Shifts are available daily, but all applicants must be available to work weekends as part of their schedule.
About the Position: We are seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our private, in-home support team in Salmon Arm. This role involves providing dedicated care for a senior gentleman living with Lewy Body Dementia. Because our care needs run seven days a week, we require team members who can provide reliable coverage, particularly over the weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with client bed transfers and necessary personal care.
Provide assistance with feeding and mealtime support.
Engage, stimulate, and interact positively with the client.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a comfortable, tidy environment.
Qualifications & Requirements: Availability: Must be available to work weekends (essential). Compassionate & Caring: A genuine desire to support a senior with dementia with dignity, patience, and respect.
Physically Fit: Ability to safely perform client bed transfers and physical care duties.
Certification: Certified Care Aides are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses the right heart, attitude, and willingness to learn.
