The Bertossi Group is seeking Experienced Line Cooks to help us carry on our tradition of creating award-winning dishes at Water Polo Restaurant, The Bicycle Thief & Ristorante a Mano.

The Bertossi Group has set the standard for fine dining in Halifax for over 30 years, with six current destination restaurants: Water Polo, Matadora, Via Condotti, Ristorante a Mano, The Bicycle Thief & il Mercato Trattoria, as well as two luxury Cafes: Pane e Circo.

What you'll be doing:

- Perform assigned tasks from Executive Chef & Sous Chefs
- High quality preparation of handcrafted, fine dining dishes from scratch
- Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specification as set by the restaurant to maintain expert level food inventory and control
- Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and follow the highest standards of food safety & hygiene
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

What experience you need:





- 1-3 years Line Cook experience in high volume, fast-paced, full-service restaurants
- Above average understanding of working in professional kitchens and knife handling skills
- Ability to manage time, take direction from Chefs & work effectively under pressure
- Completion of a Culinary diploma is considered an major asset
