Lead the Growth of Northern Canada's Premier Hotels

Nunastar Properties Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to support the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife, NT and the Frobisher Inn in Iqaluit, NU.

Based in Edmonton and reporting directly to the Vice President, Hotels, this role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence across corporate, government, Indigenous, tourism, transportation, engineering, construction, mining, and resource-sector markets.

This position offers a unique opportunity to represent two of Northern Canada's most recognized hospitality properties while playing a key role in their continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Secure new corporate, government, tourism, group, and project-based business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Negotiate corporate agreements, group contracts, and event business.
- Lead marketing initiatives, digital campaigns, and brand awareness efforts for both hotel properties.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership teams to improve commercial performance.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of hotel or hospitality sales experience.
- Proven success achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Experience managing corporate accounts, group business, conferences,



meetings, and events.
- Strong business development, networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Opera PMS, Delphi, Oracle Sales & Events, CRM platforms, or similar systems is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.

Hospitality sales experience is required.

Travel Requirements

This Edmonton-based position requires regular travel, including:

- Yellowknife, NT
- Iqaluit, NU
- Industry conferences and trade shows
- Client meetings and business development activities throughout Canada

Travel is expected to average approximately 6-8 weeks annually.
