​Hey there everyone, hope this ad finds you in positive spirits and thank you in advance for reading this job posting. ​Description: Looking for an extremely organized, detail-oriented individual to sort bulk plastic building bricks (Lego) by category and element shape. No prior knowledge required, but high attention to detail is a must. Some experience with Lego parts is preferred, but not essential. ​The Work: You will be provided a tub of mixed bricks and sorting containers. You must clear out non-matching brands, filter broken pieces, and group similar elements together. ​Payment: Paid at a flat rate of $20 per sorted 5-pound bin (or 5 x 1-pound Ziplock bags). Perfect for students, retirees, or anyone looking for a quiet, meticulous task. Work will be delivered and picked up at a mutually agreed time. ​Pace & Expectations: A pound of Lego typically has an average of 200–400 pieces, so 5 pounds is roughly around 1,500 parts. Average sorting time is about 20 parts per minute or 1,200 parts/hour. You can work at your own pace and get 5 pounds done really quickly or take your time, as long as the work is done in a reasonable timeframe. The first drop-off will be a 5-pound testing evaluation; if it works out, we can continue with larger amounts. ​Phases of Work: ​Phase 1: Straightforward sorting—picking out the most common elements: ​Bricks, Plates, Slopes,



Tiles ​Plants and animals ​Wheels and vehicle parts ​Printed parts or anything with a sticker ​Technic parts or any parts with a hole ​Non-Lego / damaged ​Phase 2 parts ("everything else") ​The rest goes into a second phase bin which will get sorted in the future, but for now, just Phase 1 will be needed for the next little while. ​Phase 2: Quality control and grouping, which is about 1.5 times faster, quite a bit easier, and paid the same amount per pound. Phase 2 applicants will be selected based on Phase 1 performance. Individuals working on Phase 1 can remain on that level if that's where they feel comfortable, or they can move up to Phase 2. ​Phases 3 & 4: Applicants wishing to move up to Phase 3 (high-level parts) and Phase 4 (entering parts in a store, listing parts, determining orders, part picking, packaging orders, determining payments, verifying payments, and shipments) will need to pass the first two phases in a reasonable timeframe. All phases have considerable pay increases based on performance. ​About Us: We have been expanding since 2008 and need a few more people—we would love to find the right person/people to join our team.
