Material Processor and Receiver for Indoor Metal recycling Facility, starting immediately.

As a material processor and receiver, you will be essential in managing the flow of materials and ensuring high quality of materials for recycling. Your core responsibilities will be to receive, process and prepare shipments of recycled materials. Join us to contribute to a sustainable recycling process.

Responsibilities:

- Receive material and separate by grade and type for both the public and industrial customers.
- Deliver high level of customer service as customers enter our facility.
- Manual sorting of materials to upgrade materials and prepare for final processing.
- Take apart machinery and equipment, stripping wire, using the shear as required to extract clean metal materials for recycling.
- Maintain a clean facility to ensure a safe environment.
- General help as required around the plant.

Qualifications:

- Excellent English communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of different grades of non-ferrous metals
- Demonstrate attention to details




- Ability to withstand dirty workplace with hot/cold temperatures
- Forklift license an asset
- Health & Safety certification (Can be completed on the ministry of labour website)
- Must have safety shoes, all other safety equipment will be provided
- Availability on Saturday mornings

Safety equipment will be provided.

Competitive compensation starting at $20/hr and up based on experience. Performance based increases and profit sharing.

Gilbat Metals is a family run business founded 40 years ago. Our operating Hours are Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pm and Saturday 7am to 12pm. Shifts will be assigned upon hiring.
