Are you a skilled Journeyman Carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship? First General is looking for an experienced carpenter to join our restoration and reconstruction team. You'll work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, helping rebuild properties damaged by water, fire, storms, and other losses.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys diverse projects, working independently, and mentoring others.

What You'll Do

- Perform framing, drywall, insulation, finishing, cabinetry, and general carpentry work
- Install doors, windows, flooring, trim, siding, and custom finishes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code
- Troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality workmanship
- Work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and other trades
- Mentor apprentices and support junior carpenters
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Assist with site preparation, final cleanup, and other project needs as required

What We're Looking For

- Journeyman Carpenter Certification
- 10+ years of carpentry experience in construction and/or restoration
- Strong experience with framing, drywall, finishing, trim, cabinetry, and renovations
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Knowledge of building codes and construction safety standards
- Experience leading crews or mentoring apprentices is an asset
- Willingness to travel for projects is an asset




- Must supply general hand and power tools (specialty tools provided)

- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift construction materials as required

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
