Duties
- Inspecting and verifying incoming goods against invoice and packing slips and purchase orders, recording any shortages
- Assessing quality of inbound/outbound products, rejecting damage goods as per established procedures, and reporting any issues to supervisor
- Stocking and staging materials for various departments within the plant
- Updating inventory status using warehouse management systems
- Safely operating forklift
- Loading and unloading materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organized,
and compliant with safety standards requirements
- Constructing outgoing crating according to shipping/install requirements
- Performing occasional errands outside of the plant to pick-up or deliver materials with a pickup truck and trailer up to 28' long. (company vehicle provided)
Qualifications:
- Familiar with flatbed loads and securement
- Ability to use basic hand tools, measuring (metric and imperial), reading workorders and basic carpentry skills
- Forklift Certification with 3 years experience (company will re-train)
- Experience in moving large and irregular shaped loads
- Ability to receive and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Communication and critical thinking skills
- Valid G licensee with good driving history, and ability to maneuver/shunt pickup trucks with trailers
- Prior shipping/receiving experience an asset
