Responsibilities

- Safely install recent shingle roofing systems on residential and commercial structures following project specifications and blueprints
- Repair or replace damaged shingles, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing to prevent leaks
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to cut, shape, and secure shingles effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to accurately execute roofing layouts
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to facilitate efficient installation processes
- Apply caulking around flashing and seams to enhance waterproofing integrity




- Conduct site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed and quality standards are met throughout each project

Experience

- Previous construction experience with a focus on roofing or carpentry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools used in roofing applications is essential
- Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings helps ensure precise installation
- Handyman experience or related skills in maintenance work are a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during busy workdays
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams effectively
