We are currently hiring a Field Service Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled, customer-focused professional who enjoys working independently while delivering exceptional service to business clients throughout the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing office equipment including printers, multifunction devices, scanners, and related hardware, software, and network connectivity solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies while building strong customer relationships and representing a respected organization in the field.

*NOTE: This is a work from home position. Vehicle is required to visit clients onsite as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade office equipment including printers, multifunction devices, scanners, and production print equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, print driver, scanning, and connectivity issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment diagnostics, repairs, retrofits, and system upgrades.
- Respond to assigned service calls efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.




- Effectively manage an assigned service territory and prioritize daily workload.
- Maintain accurate inventory of service parts and ensure proper stock levels.
- Complete service reports, documentation, parts usage records, and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Clearly communicate equipment issues, repair recommendations, and service updates with customers.
- Collaborate with internal customer service, dispatch, sales, and technical support teams to resolve customer issues.
- Participate in manufacturer and technical training programs to remain current with evolving technologies.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in excellent working condition.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times.
- Support after-hours service requests and overtime as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Previous experience servicing printers, copiers, multifunction devices, scanners, or related office equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of networking, print drivers, software installation, scanning, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues and perform repairs efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities.




- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience maintaining accurate service documentation and inventory records.
- Commitment to ongoing technical learning and professional development.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned service territory.

Physical Requirements

- Lift, move, and carry equipment, parts, and tools.
- Stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work in a variety of customer environments.
- Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Travel between customer locations throughout the workday.
- Safely operate a company vehicle.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily field-based, supporting customers throughout the Red Deer region and surrounding communities. The role requires regular travel between customer sites and occasional work from branch or warehouse locations. Overtime and after-hours support may be required based on customer needs.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
