We are looking for a Food Service Manager for a LTC facility in Hagersville, Ontario.

Position: Food Service Manager (Part-time, temporary position)

Reports to: Administrator and Orange Lily Group

Position Summary: Coordinates and supervises the operations of the Food Services Department in accordance with company policies and MOH-LTC legislation. Serves as part of the Home’s Management Team. Works closely with the Administrator, Cooks, Dietary Aides, and other members of the dietary team.

This position is part-time (15hr/week) for approximately a 6-7 month contract.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversee all duties performed by the dietary staff.
- Oversees the preparation and service of all meals and nourishments.
- Ensures that food is prepared according to standardized menus and recipes.
- Monitors, maintains and improves quality standards through audits, surveys, checks and inspections.
- Ensures that cleaning and safety procedures are followed.
- Implements and controls costs.
- Conducts meal rounds, interacting with residents, families and staff.
- Resolves routine work problems and grievances.

Qualifications:





- Must be a member of CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management)
- Position requires a current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
- Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mealsuite and Point Click Care and the ability to learn other software applications.

- Long-term Care: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) Membership (required)
