Montreal Plateau Mont-Royal area Full time 7 days on / 7 days off

FAB HomeRentals has managed professionally operated Montreal apartments for more than 10 years. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Manager to help run daily operations, primarily from home, while attending properties whenever required.

The role

Working closely with the owners and the other Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of the guest experience and day-to-day operation. The owners remain responsible for accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and daily pricing.

- Personally handle guest inquiries, reservations, complaints, and communications through Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, email, text, and telephone.
- Coordinate cleaners, the in-house handyman, maintenance, repairs, supplies, and apartment inspections; follow issues through to resolution.
- Attend apartments to assist guests, inspect or prepare units, support turnovers or cleaning, and resolve operational problems when required.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, smart TVs, smart locks, and other common rental issues.
- Support pricing and availability decisions, monitor guest feedback, and improve procedures, service, occupancy, and host-status results.

Schedule and commitment

During each seven-day ON week, you must be available during normal business hours (9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), devote at least seven to eight hours per day to FAB HomeRentals (approximately 49–56 hours), and handle after-hours guest or urgent operational needs. FAB HomeRentals must be your professional priority during the ON week; schedule personal business, appointments, outside work,



and other commitments during your OFF week. The other Assistant Manager oversees daily operations during your OFF week.

Required qualifications

- At least three years of hands-on management experience with multiple short-term rental apartments.
- Extensive Airbnb and VRBO experience and a record of maintaining Airbnb Superhost and VRBO Premier Host status; Booking.com is an asset.
- Experience with Beds24 or a comparable property/channel-management system.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written French and English for guest and team communications.
- Live in Montreal—preferably near Plateau Mont-Royal, Mile End, Rosemont, Outremont, Downtown, or Little Italy—and have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
- Calm, decisive, resourceful, responsive, comfortable working independently, and interested in a stable long-term role.

Compensation and benefits

Competitive base salary based on experience, performance bonuses tied to guest satisfaction and operational excellence, business mileage reimbursement, and partial reimbursement of mobile phone and home internet expenses.
