Overview
We are seeking a licensed Civil Engineer who is licensed to work in Ontario Canada with previous Canadian experience as a Civil Engineer with experience in Bid Management and procurement software and construction management to join our energetic team. As mentioned above , licensed here with previous Canadian experience is a must and imperative for this job. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Bid management & procurement software, construction estimating, project management with proficiency in relevant software tools. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate pricing and effective negotiation strategies for various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using bid management + preconstruction + procurement software for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Utilize software tools to create comprehensive bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct thorough analysis of blueprints and specifications to determine project scope.
- Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle of the construction process.
- Provide support during the bidding process, including responding to inquiries from clients or stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes.
- Proficiency in estimation software is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and subcontractors.
- Excellent project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with pricing strategies and market trends in the construction industry.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate estimates.
