Job Description:

1. Provide directions and supervision of all Care staff.

2. Assess residents' conditions by recognizing signs and symptoms and where necessary initiates remedial health measures.

3. Contacting resident's attending physician when there is a change in resident's physical or mental condition.

4. Responsible to ensure safekeeping of drug and narcotic keys.

5. Responsible for administration of medications and treatments as ordered by resident's physician within his/her limitations.

6. Teaches good health habits.

7. Deals courteously with staff, residents, residents' families and visitors.

8. Responsible for completing Move in and move out paperwork as required.

9. Maintain liaison with families of residents.

10. Ensures medical records are maintained.

11. Completes monthly weights and blood pressures on residents as required.

12. Ensures nursing documentation is complete as per College of Nurses' Nursing Documentation guidelines.

13. Assists with arranging transportation for residents.

14. Answers call bells and assist where necessary.

15. Orders medications from Pharmacy as per Doctor's orders.

16. Receives medications and storing medications safely.

17. Serve and supervise at meals - assist with resident satisfaction.

18. Adhere to all established policies and procedures.

19.



Responsible for making the appropriate plans for move out as necessary.

20. Complete incident reports where necessary.

21. Supervising resident's personal hygiene and bathing as per schedule or assisting when necessary.

22. Assist residents with ambulation when necessary.

23. Emergency medical care.

24. Responsible for maintaining an accurate waiting list.

25. Responsible for maintaining accurate records for "extra charges" if applicable.

26. Ensures there are sufficient staff on duty to provide the services which are offered.

27. Ensures a resident care plan is established and reviewed/revised at least every six months.

28. Access, facilitate and orientate community agencies and/ or resources.

29. Aware of role and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour

Versatile language requirement:

- French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paris, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- RPN (required)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
