This position is based at our Saint-Jérôme facility, but requires frequent travel to support our clients in Eastern Canada.

Your tasks

As a Customer Support Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and mechanical and hydraulic repairs at our clients’ sites, primarily located in Eastern Canada. Your role also includes preparing technical reports and handling emergency calls on a rotating basis with the team. You will play a key role in customer satisfaction by providing strong technical leadership and ensuring thorough follow-up on installations.

Summary of tasks:

Maintenance and Service Interventions

- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic installations
- Identify and correct critical issues

Customer Support and Advisory





- Respond to client emergency calls and intervene promptly to resolve issues
- Represent the company during courtesy visits
- Provide inspection services and participate in deficiency and warranty management

Collaboration and Expertise

- Work closely with other technicians, service engineers, project managers, and the site supervisor
- Prepare and archive detailed service reports
- Support the Installation department as needed for new installations

Optimization and Continuous Improvement

- Analyze recurring failures and complex issues to recommend technical modifications or adjustments to maintenance programs
- Act as a liaison with service engineers to suggest design improvements based on service history

Your profile

Requirements

- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Industrial Mechanics or any other relevant field (construction mechanics, hydraulics, mechanical engineering technology, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong command of French (spoken and written)
- Strong command of English (spoken and written)
- Ability to read complex technical drawings and strong knowledge of the metric system
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Skill

- Technical analytical skills: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Communication and customer relations:



Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts and produce thorough documentation (service reports), maintaining a professional and trusted relationship with clients

- Priority management: Ability to prioritize urgent issues and plan interventions efficiently to optimize client needs and travel

- Autonomy and adaptability: Ability to make technical decisions in the field and adapt to changing conditions

- Team spirit: Strong willingness to collaborate and support colleagues in achieving common objectives

Other Requirements

- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions

- Availability for frequent weekday travel, including overtime

- Occasional availability for evening or weekend work during critical phases

- Willingness to travel for short business trips across North America and Europe

- Valid, unrestricted passport

- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
