Duties
- Tower and equipment installation and routine maintenace
- Repair or replace defective equipment on the tower
- Inspect rigging equipment for safety and functionality before use.
- Perform tests on equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on rigging equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
- Microwave system installations, including path alignment
- Installation of coax, fiber cable, DC cable, connectors and tower supports
- Installation of tower top equipment and site sectorization, including monopoles, self supports and guy towers
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the team and company
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications for telecom related work
- Ability to safely climb heights in excess of 500 feet
Qualifications
- Good physical condition and comfortable working at heights up to 500 feet
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Telecom experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrate strong adherence to safety procedures
- Must be reliable, trustworthy and responsible
- Must be willing to work in excess of 40 hours per week and up to 7 days per week
- Must be willing to travel for work within Alberta
