Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic to ensure accurate documentation
- Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact, including dental receptionist duties like scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
- Support with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment maintenance





Requirements

- Proven experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in orthodontics and pediatrics preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health procedures
- Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Epic for record keeping and appointment scheduling
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children and those requiring special care
- Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry are advantageous
- Experience with CAD technology for digital impressions or imaging is a plus
- Knowledge of dental reception duties, including managing patient flow and administrative tasks
