Our company is currently looking for Machinist for permanent role in Calgary. Within this position Machinist is expected to perform their tasks within an exceptional level of quality.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Set up, operate and maintain any of the following machines: all types of mills, drills, lathes, grinders, saws.
- Must be comfortable using hand tools (drill, screw driver etc.)
- Must be positive with numbers and follow instructions precisely. Attention to detail is essential
- Prepare mechanical test samples
- Maintain a clean work area in accordance with standard safety practices and procedures
Requirements:
- Able to problem solve any issue that may occur with machinery and/or material
- Experience with various inspection tools, calipers, micrometers,
overlays and pin gauges
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including theirs designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to do some heavy lifting using proper lifting techniques
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Well organized with strong communication skills
