Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Experienced Montessori Teacher to inspire young learners in a vibrant, nurturing environment. In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Montessori principles that foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your leadership will help cultivate a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to explore their potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early education while working alongside a team committed to excellence and innovation in teaching.

In this role, you will be working from Setember-June with an option of working in July and August at a reduced hourly rate if you wish to do so.

Duties

- Design and implement Montessori-based lesson plans that promote hands-on learning and child-centered exploration.
- Observe and assess individual student progress, tailoring activities to meet diverse developmental needs.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence, responsibility, and social-emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support student development and address individual needs.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and ensure all educational resources are accessible and well-maintained.
- Incorporate bilingual instruction when applicable, utilizing English and French to enhance language development.
- Support children with special education needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed.

Experience





- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, preferably within Montessori environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching young learners using child-centered pedagogies aligned with Montessori principles.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, applying inclusive teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom materials, lesson plans, and student records.
- Familiarity with computer operation and educational technology tools to enhance instruction and record keeping.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- Montessori: 3 years (required)

Language:

- English (required)
- French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- MACTE-Accredited Diploma or AMI Diploma (required)
- MACTE-Accredited OR AMI Diploma (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
