Position Summary

Titley Construction Ltd. is seeking a motivated Carpenter's Helper to assist our carpenters and renovation crews on residential renovation projects throughout the Ottawa area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry while learning from experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters with residential renovation projects including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and whole-home renovations.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after construction.
- Perform demolition and site preparation as directed.
- Measure, cut, and install basic building materials under supervision.
- Assist with framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, cabinetry, and general finishing tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Pick up and deliver materials from suppliers as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Lead Carpenter.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's Licence (required).
- Clean driver's abstract is mandatory and must be provided upon request.
- Must be able to report to our office at 1535 Michael Street, Ottawa, ON by 7:00 a.m. each workday.
- Transportation to and from job sites is provided in a company vehicle from the office each morning.




- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Previous construction or renovation experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
