Job Description
Facilitate sales and rentals to schools and educational institutions
Act as a liaison between the Long & McQuade store and schools in the surrounding area
Ensure schools receive timely delivery of products and services
Actively pursue new opportunities within current accounts and from potential recent customers
Ensure accounts are kept current and paperwork is filed accurately and on time
Work to provide sales opportunities to students both in school and at the store
Maintain an in-depth, diverse, and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
Good understanding of band instruments (i.e. brass, woodwind, and orchestral strings)
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Thorough organizational skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude and steady composure
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to lift and carry large boxes
Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to resolution
Valid driver's license
Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset
Previous experience working with schools or institutions is an asset
