Your Opportunity:

Recovery Alberta is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Lethbridge Recovery Centre in a 0.52 FTE Permanent position. The successful candidate will provide patient-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care within our 8-bed Medically Supported Detox Program. Reporting to the Manager, the LPN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individuals accessing detoxification services. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and updating care plans, administering interventions, monitoring clients’ physical and mental health status, and completing accurate and timely documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to provide knowledgeable, compassionate nursing care grounded in addiction and mental health practice. A commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey, while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, is essential.

Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience,



demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in addiction and mental health, detoxification, withdrawal management, or recovery-focused services is considered an asset. The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and build therapeutic relationships with clients and families is highly valued.
