We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Class 5 Delivery Driver to join our team in Port Alberni. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles, delivering products on time, loading and unloading materials, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with BC traffic laws and company policies.
- Complete deliveries and pickups on assigned routes.
- Load, unload, and secure products for safe transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation.
- Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Previous delivery driving experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift 50 75 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong knowledge of BC traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Excellent time management and route planning skills.
- Solid communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
