The Award-Winning Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint John is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of our beautifully maintained 94-room hotel.

Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform routine repairs to guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure the swimming pool and associated equipment are maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate repairs with outside contractors and service providers.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspections, and compliance records.
- Conduct regular life safety inspections, including fire safety systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Assist with room renovations, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.




- Ensure the hotel consistently meets Holiday Inn brand standards.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in hotel, commercial, or facility maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with swimming pool maintenance is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance records.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency situations.
