The Manager of Youth Mentoring Services provides leadership in the delivery of Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs, including Community-Based Mentoring, In-School Mentoring, Group Mentoring, and youth engagement activities.

This role is responsible for assessing youth and volunteer suitability, facilitating successful mentoring relationships, providing ongoing case management, supporting families and volunteers, and ensuring all programs meet BBBS Canada standards.

The successful candidate is passionate about youth development, trauma-informed practice, relationship building, and measurable outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

- Coordinate Community-Based, In-School, and Group Mentoring programs.
- Plan and facilitate youth group activities and workshops.
- Ensure all mentoring programs meet BBBS Canada standards and best practices.
- Monitor program outcomes and support continuous improvement.

Youth & Family Services

- Complete intake, assessment, and matching of children, youth, families, and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing case management and support throughout the mentoring relationship.
- Monitor child safety, relationship quality, and youth wellbeing.
- Connect families with community resources and additional supports when appropriate.
- Recruit and engage children, youth, and volunteer mentors to support the growth and sustainability of mentoring programs.

Community Partnerships

- Build strong relationships with schools, community organizations, and referral partners.
- Represent Big Brothers Big Sisters within the Centre Wellington community.

Administration & Reporting

- Maintain accurate case files and client documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BBBS Canada standards, privacy legislation, and organizational policies.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely collection, entry,



and maintenance of program data to support outcome measurement, funder reporting, organizational planning, and continuous program improvement.

Qualifications

Required

- Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Minimum two years' experience working directly with children, youth, and families.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Experience with trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centred practice.
- Excellent assessment, case management, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience collaborating with schools and community agencies.
- Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable vehicle.

Assets

- Experience delivering mentoring or youth development programs.
- Knowledge of BBBS Canada service standards.
- Experience facilitating youth groups and workshops.
- Familiarity with Centre Wellington and local community resources.

Working Conditions

- Full-time (35 hours/week)
- Some evening and occasional weekend work required for youth programming and community events.
- Travel throughout Centre Wellington required.

Compensation

- Salary: $58,000–$63,000 annually, commensurate with education, registration, and experience.
- $1,500 Health Care Spending Account
