Housekeeping Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Bonsai Stays is seeking an organized, hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations across our portfolio of short-term rental properties. This role is responsible for ensuring every property is guest-ready, maintaining consistent quality standards, managing a team of housekeepers, and coordinating turnovers efficiently between guest stays. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-property workplace and takes pride in delivering a spotless, five-star guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee and coordinate housekeeping schedules across multiple properties to ensure timely turnovers between guest check-outs and check-ins
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff and contractors
- Conduct quality control inspections of properties before guest arrival, ensuring cleanliness, staging, and presentation meet brand standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, toiletries, and guest amenities; place orders as needed
- Coordinate with the linen service team on delivery, pickup, and stock levels for each property
- Respond quickly to same-day turnover needs, last-minute bookings, and schedule changes
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns identified during cleans
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning checklists, inspections, and staff schedules
- Travel between properties as needed to support the team and conduct spot checks
- Uphold and help refine Bonsai Stays' cleanliness and presentation standards across all markets

QUALIFICATIONS





- Experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations required; short-term rental or hotel experience strongly preferred
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience managing cleaning or housekeeping staff
- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities across several properties at once
- Must have their own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license, as travel between properties is required
- Able to manage and coordinate cleaning across approximately 3-5 properties per week, with volume potentially increasing as needed
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for scheduling apps, checklists, and communication tools
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as turnovers are driven by guest check-in/check-out schedules
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $36,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
