Duties
- Operate diamond drilling rigs with precision, ensuring safety and efficiency during core extraction processes
- Set up and calibrate drilling equipment according to project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of drilling machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Follow detailed operational procedures for horizontal drilling projects, maintaining accuracy throughout the process
- Assist with site preparation, including moving equipment with forklifts or other machinery as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of drilling activities, including depth measurements, sample collection, and equipment usage
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
and hazard assessments
Skills/Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on drilling equipment
- Drilling experience that provides a solid understanding of site setup, safety procedures, and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards
- Valid Drivers License
