Description:

ALCO Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Journeyman Pipefitter to join our pipe fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in pipe fitting, layout, and assembly within a fabrication shop environment. This position involves working with various materials, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in all projects.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble pipes and fittings together according to isometric drawings.
- Understand table fitting sequencing & preform accurate fit-up, and tack welding on piping systems.
- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication shop equipment safely as per ALCO Safe Work Procedures.
- Inspect and conduct spool checker signoffs.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

- Typical workday is 10 hours, overtime and working weekends may be required with short notice.
- Fabrication shop environment; work is performed on the shop floor, which may include exposure to noise, welding fumes, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Physically demanding position. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, fittings, and equipment up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and up to 75 lbs occasionally with assistance or mechanical aids.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, often on hard concrete or metal surfaces.
- Requires repetitive use of hands and arms for measuring, cutting,



fitting, and tack welding, along with the manual dexterity to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or on scaffolding/man-lifts, depending on project scope.
- Must have visual acuity sufficient to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and precise measurements (imperial and metric).
- Must be able to wear and work safely in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing, for the duration of each shift.
- Exposure to shop machinery, welding/cutting equipment, and moving materials; must consistently follow all ALCO Safe Work Procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.

Job Requirements:

· Must hold a Journeyman Pipefitter certification.

· Have valid Driver’s license.

· 1 – 3 years table fitting experience in a fabrication shop.

· Must be able to read an imperial and metric tape measure.

· Strong understanding of pipe materials and fitting techniques.
