Dayus Register & Grille

Canada

Dayus Register & Grille

Dayus Register & Grille is a North American manufacturer of custom aluminum registers, grilles, louvers, and diffusers, serving HVAC wholesalers, OEMs, and commercial partners across Canada and the United States. We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to grow our wholesale business through strong field engagement, disciplined account management, and data-driven execution.

Role Summary

This role is ideal for a proactive business development professional who enjoys hunting for new opportunities, building long-term wholesale relationships, and managing accounts with structure and follow-through. The position requires regular domestic and international travel, in-person customer engagement, and consistent presence in the field and office.

This is not a work-from-home role. The successful candidate is comfortable balancing time on the road with office-based responsibilities such as CRM ownership, analysis, planning, and follow-up. The role is fundamentally hands-on and relationship focused.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Management

- Develop, grow, and manage relationships with HVAC wholesale partners, including territory managers, branch managers, and counter sales teams.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities while increasing share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Position Dayus as a trusted secondary and specialty supplier through education, consistent follow-up, and solution-based selling.

Territory & Relationship Strategy

- Segment accounts by prospect, branch size, and growth potential to prioritize outreach.
- Conduct regular in-person visits, ride-alongs, and branch engagements to drive pull-through demand.
- Support new branch launches,

promotions, and localized growth initiatives.

CRM, Analytics & Sales Operations

- Own CRM usage and data integrity (HubSpot preferred; Salesforce, Pipedrive, or Zoho acceptable).
- Log all customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups to ensure visibility and forecasting accuracy.
- Use dashboards, Excel, and reporting tools to track performance, activity, and account growth.
- Share market and competitive insights with leadership to support pricing, product, and go-to-market decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Act as a bridge between sales, customer service, operations, marketing, and leadership.
- Communicate customer needs, service issues, and market trends clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Support sales enablement initiatives, presentations, and product launches.

Qualifications

- 2–3 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
- Experience in account management, relationship-driven selling, and territory growth.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Power BI experience is an asset.
- Hands-on CRM experience (HubSpot preferred; Salesforce, Pipedrive, or Zoho considered assets).
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis (monthly or more).
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills,

with experience presenting to small and large groups.
- Ability to proactively hunt, discover, and cultivate recent business opportunities.
- Proven problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally across different levels of an organization.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and not limited to “sales-only” responsibilities.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Valid travel eligibility/visa for travel to the United States.
- Hands-on trade show support: booth installation, teardown, and coordination with show vendors/staff.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration is an asset.
- Manufacturing sales experience, HVAC or building products knowledge, and experience working with wholesalers or distributors are assets but not required.
- Strong communicator with a proactive, driven, and results-oriented approach.

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary + 15–30% achievable performance bonus
- Mileage reimbursement (company-covered for business travel)
- Monthly phone allowance
- Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding North American manufacturer
- Exposure to both Canadian and U.S. markets
