JBC Customs – Barrie, ON

JBC Customs is looking for an experienced welder to join our team. This is a full-time position that includes both field welding and shop fabrication.

The successful candidate will spend part of their time travelling to residential and commercial construction sites in a company truck, welding steel posts and completing installations. When there are no site jobs scheduled, you will be working in our fabrication shop on custom steel projects.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can work independently, produce quality work without constant supervision, and represent our company professionally on job sites.

Hours

- Monday to Thursday
- 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Full-time
- Overtime available when required

What You'll Be Doing

- Drive a company vehicle to job sites throughout Central Ontario.
- Weld steel posts in current residential and commercial construction.
- Perform quality welds in all positions.
- Work safely in outdoor conditions year-round.




- Read shop drawings and measurements.
- Complete fabrication and welding projects in our shop.
- Keep your work area, tools, and company vehicle clean and organized.
- Work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
- Experience with MIG welding on structural steel.
- Able to weld in all positions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong fabrication skills.
- Able to lift and handle steel materials.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence.
- Clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a company truck to and from job sites.
- Reliable transportation to our shop every day.
- Able to work without constant supervision.
- Takes pride in producing clean, quality work.
- Shows up on time and is dependable.

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
