Job Summary

Salmon Stone Childcare Centre is a newly licensed 49 space childcare centre in the West Fraserlands (Kent St & Kerr St). We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Infant Toddler Team Lead to guide our program and help build a nurturing, inclusive setting for children and families.

Role and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the leadership, supervision and administration of the program.
- Lead the staff team to plan, evaluate, and implement daily activities in line with SVNH philosophy that support and promote the development of the whole child
- Work in partnership and with the Coordinator and Director to explore and implement innovative programming
- Builds and maintains supportive and collaborative relationships with families and community service providers
- Adapt to changing circumstances, handle emergencies skilfully using discretion and confidentiality
- Ensure best practices, licensing requirements and SVNH policies and procedures are met for the program

Qualifications and Skills

- Valid BC ECE Infant/Toddler license to practice, First Aid and Food Secure




- Valid Special Needs ECE license to practice an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Check upon hire
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare in a leadership role
- Sound knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Childcare Licensing Regulations
- Able to provide reflective and emergent curriculum
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Enjoys working in an inclusive and diverse community

Pay: $26.41-$28.29 per hour

Education:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- Leadership: 1 year (required)
