Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload parcels using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption
- Assist with moving parcels within warehouses or distribution centers as needed
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent service and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for accountability and tracking purposes
Skills
- Experience in moving heavy or bulky items safely and efficiently
- Proficiency in operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the workday
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification preferred
