Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft or vandalism, and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to security incidents.

Responsibilities

- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to oversee activity across the premises.
- Enforce security protocols and access controls to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.




- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Conduct security checks on equipment, entrances, and exits to ensure operational integrity.

Experience

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Valid security guard license (as required by province)
- Previous security experience is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to remain calm and skilled in emergency situations
- Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious behavior or potential threats.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for effective reporting and incident management.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
