Job Summary
We are seeking a Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying tape and finishing compounds to drywall joints, ensuring a smooth and qualified finish. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. The Taper will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting and other finishes, contributing to the overall quality of our projects.
Duties
- Apply tape to drywall seams and corners using appropriate techniques
- Mix and apply joint compound to create a smooth surface over taped joints
- Sand and finish surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and materials
- Utilize caulking techniques where necessary for sealing gaps
Experience
- Previous experience in drywall installation or finishing is preferred
- Familiarity with caulking methods and tools is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
