About Us

We are a Canadian manufacturing company implementing Odoo Enterprise as our new ERP system. We manufacture custom products using processes including die cutting, metal stamping, printing, assembly, CNC machining, and vacuum forming.

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to work with our internal team on a contract basis to help ensure our implementation follows best practices.

Project Overview

Our internal team is completing much of the day-to-day configuration, but we need an experienced consultant who can provide guidance, review our setup, answer implementation questions, recommend best practices, and assist with more complex configurations.

This is a part-time contract with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

- Review our current Odoo Enterprise implementation
- Recommend best practices for system configuration
- Configure and optimize Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory, Purchasing, Sales, and related modules
- Assist with Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, and Manufacturing Orders
- Help establish accurate inventory and costing processes
- Configure user roles, permissions, and workflows
- Advise on reporting, dashboards, and operational KPIs
- Assist with data imports and migration planning
- Identify opportunities to simplify business processes using standard Odoo functionality
- Recommend when custom development is appropriate versus standard configuration




- Participate in weekly remote meetings and provide ongoing support as needed

Required Experience

- 5+ years of Odoo implementation experience
- Multiple successful Odoo Enterprise implementations
- Strong experience with Manufacturing (MRP)
- Strong understanding of Inventory Management
- Experience configuring Purchasing and Sales
- Experience with Bills of Materials, Routings, and Work Centers
- Experience implementing manufacturing workflows
- Excellent English communication skills

- Barcode operations
- Shipping and logistics
- Quality management
- ISO 9001 environments
- Multi-company or multi-warehouse implementations
- Basic understanding of Python and custom module architecture (not required)

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving operational problems and helping manufacturers get the most out of Odoo. You should be comfortable explaining why a particular configuration is considered best practice, not just how to configure it.

Contract Details

- Flexible schedule
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially (may increase as the project progresses)
- Contract position
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
