Farmer Jane Cannabis Co. is looking for a positive, high-energy Assistant Manager to add to our team. As our newest second-in-command, you will play a pivotal role in supporting daily store operations, keeping our retail floor running smoothly, and bringing our trademark "down-home" hospitality to life!

Farmer Jane Cannabis Co. is looking for a people-first leader with incredible attention to detail, strong organization, and a commitment to driving guest engagement. Working closely with the Store General Manager, you’ll be responsible for coaching and mentoring Budtenders and Key Leads, maintaining strict compliance standards, overseeing daily floor flow, and stepping up as the leader on duty in the GM's absence to keep the store running seamlessly.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Encourage a store culture of inclusion, positivity, education, and "down-home" hospitality rooted in Farmer Jane’s core values
- Assist the GM in recruiting, training, developing, and mentoring Budtenders and Key Leads
- Maintain a strong sales floor presence (targeting 50%+ of your time), leading by example to deliver extraordinary customer service and meet store sales goals
- Monitor guest volume and floor flow dynamically, managing staff deployment and line management to ensure a top-tier guest experience
- Protect store compliance by maintaining a sharp eye on inventory control, daily menu audits, and standard operating procedures




- Ensure thorough understanding and enforcement of all provincial and federal cannabis regulations as well as internal company policies
- Oversee shift execution, labor productivity, and daily task completion to support store profitability and operational targets
- Act as the primary leader on duty in the General Manager’s absence, running shifts with passion, pride, and a sense of shared ownership

Mandatory Requirements:

- 1–2+ years of retail shift leadership, supervisory, or assistant management experience
- Proven retail and customer service experience with a passion for people
- Ability to maintain a variable schedule (including evenings and weekends) to support store demand
- Superior communication and organizational skills with the ability to think on your feet during busy shifts
- Understanding of basic operational management, inventory control, and shift coordination
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced, dynamic retail environment while keeping things fun and welcoming
- Must have your provincial cannabis training certificate and provide a clean Criminal Record Check
