Join our dynamic team as a General Excavation Labourer and be a vital part of construction projects that shape communities! In this energetic role, you will assist with excavation tasks, site preparation, and material handling to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your proactive attitude and physical stamina will help us build safely and effectively from the ground up. Applicants must be able to travel to different jobsites throughout the Lower Mainland.
Duties
- Assist with the excavation of trenches, foundations, and other site preparations under supervision
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery safely to move soil, gravel, and other materials
- Support the setup and dismantling of site safety barriers and signage
- Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment around the worksite
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Assist with site cleanup and waste removal to keep the work area tidy and compliant with regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Skills
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures accurately
- Valuable communication skills for effective teamwork on busy construction sites
- Basic understanding of construction site safety standards (e.g., PPE usage)
- Willingness to learn new skills related to excavation and site preparation
- Previous experience in construction or labouring is a plus but not required—training will be provided!
