What’s the job?
We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Plett Truck Repair. In this role, you’ll focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems, booms, outriggers, and electrical components on crane trucks, bucket trucks, and other specialty equipment.

Our shop operates 24 hours during the week, offering flexible shift schedules to suit your lifestyle.

Currently Hiring for

Afternoon Shift - Monday - Friday

Graveyard Shift - Sunday - Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems on crane and bucket trucks
- Perform inspections and maintenance on booms, outriggers, and lift mechanisms
- General truck and trailer repairs
- Engine, transmission, and drivetrain diagnostics
- A/C system service and repair
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings clearly

Who are we looking for?

- Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic (preferred)
- MVI Inspection Certification (preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience, ideally with crane or aerial lift systems
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills




- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Detail-oriented and safety-focused
- Class 5 Driver’s License (abstract required upon employment)
- Own tools and steel-toe boots

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00-$55.00 per hour
