JEI Learning Center offer an after-school enrichment program for children ages 4 to 12. We also offer tutoring programs like English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking.

We are looking for experienced, committed individuals that will assist with our After School Program (Average 10 children). Candidate will be working closely with the Center Director.

This is a part time position. Shifts are between Monday to Friday 4:00PM-6:00PM, starting September 2026. Candidate must be willing to commit to the full school year (June 2027). Local candidates only.

Teacher Assistant responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist in the classroom with activities related to the program (JEI English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking)




- Monitor and motivate around 20 students between the ages of 4-13
- Mark students' workbooks
- Be energetic, flexible, and present a positive attitude
- Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality

Priorities are given to candidates with:

- Strong Math skills (Up to Grade 9 preferred)
- French language an asset
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience a plus, especially exposure to different learning styles. Previous experience with special needs and/or learning disabilities a plus.
- Criminal record check for individuals over 18 years of age

Pay: $16.60-$17.60 per hour
