Job Title: Senior DesignerReports to: Creative Director
Role OverviewThe Senior Designer will support the development of client programs and seasonal collections by partnering closely with the Creative Director and Graphic Design team. This role focuses on building cohesive, market-relevant assortments by translating creative direction into fully merchandised collections.The Senior Designer will play a key role in establishing the foundational elements required for development and will evolve into a cross-functional bridge between creative and production to ensure execution aligns with the original vision.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Program & Collection Development
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to establish the foundations of client programs
- Translate creative direction into cohesive, fully merchandised assortments
- Build out all collection touchpoints required for development, including:
- Original samples
- Body references
- Fabrications
- Prints and graphics direction
- Templates
- Colour palettes
Merchandising & Assortment Building
- Work alongside the Graphic Design team to develop and refine complete collections
- Ensure product assortments are balanced, commercially viable, and aligned with brand direction
- Support the creation of cohesive stories across categories and product lines
Brand & Presentation Support
- Assist in building seasonal company brand presentations and licensed program decks
- Support updates, revisions, and reworking of presentation materials as needed
- Contribute to visual storytelling and overall presentation quality
Trend & Market Research
- Support the Creative Director in seasonal trend development
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and benchmarking
- Translate insights into actionable design direction
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Graphic Design team to ensure alignment between concept and execution
- Ensure designs are executed as envisioned throughout the development process
- Provide ongoing support for revisions and development needs across teams
- Help resolve design-to-production challenges while maintaining design integrity
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in design, merchandising, or product development
- Robust understanding of garment construction, materials, and product development
- Ability to build cohesive assortments and think commercially
- Strong visual, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
