Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher / General Labour to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the overall food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, while also assisting with general labour tasks around the facility. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a rapid-paced hospitality setting and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, cookware, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Assist with food preparation tasks under supervision, including basic chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients
- Support kitchen staff by delivering supplies and retrieving items as needed
- Follow food handling safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing




- Support general labour duties such as moving supplies, setting up workstations, and maintaining a tidy environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking techniques
- Experience working in hotel or food service settings is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $17.60 per hour
