General Manager

The Coffee Mill | Fredericton, NB

The Coffee Mill is looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of Fredericton's busiest cafés and restaurants. We're looking for a strong leader who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Lead, coach, and support both front and back-of-house teams.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, labour costs, and staffing levels.
- Recruit, train, onboard, and mentor employees.
- Balance daily cash, complete deposits, and maintain operational reporting.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, food costs, and fridge/storage organization.
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and company procedures are consistently followed.
- Work closely with senior management to improve operations and achieve business goals.
- Handle guest concerns professionally while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or café management experience.
- Robust leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with scheduling, payroll, and labour management.
- Ability to multitask and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour
