Your career as our Estimator will have you working directly with every aspect of the San Rufo team as well as vendors to complete job budgets. Answering to the Purchasing Manager, you will be required to complete tasks delegated to you within budgeted time-lines assigned to each specific job. This position requires the ability to work in team environment, as well as being able work independently with minimal supervision. You will be an integral part of our home building process and your work will directly benefit San Rufo Homes and our clients. We are dedicated to providing superior crafted homes and exceptional customer service across the greater Edmonton region as we continue to grow.
Duties include:

- Create master budgets and resolve any errors in the budget templates
- Create job budgets and monitor aspects of job costing
- Complete custom item price requests
- Request job specific quotes from vendors, tendering master plans and cross-referencing scopes of work
- Issue purchase orders based on approved budgets and distribute to vendors
- Complete variance forms for homes as required
- Complete plan take-offs as required.
- Perform cost analysis as requested, and review of vendor quotes
- Review job variances and contact supplier to rectify
- Vendor database maintenance
- Assist in development of “Best Practices” to achieve company goals
- Office to construction coordination
- Full preliminary plan reviews for consistency, accuracy and efficiency
- Build and maintain HomeFront Software Database




- Liaise between internal and external departments to ensure the accuracy of information for production
- Create and maintain great relations and communication with trade partners

Experience and Qualifications:

- Minimum five years of experience in the construction industry with at least three years experience with building custom homes
- Recognized as a Certified Engineering Technologist, Construction Technologist or have related educational experience
- Three Years Experience using Builder Software

- Experience developing HomeFront an asset
- Individuals considered must be highly organized and detail orientated
- Must have a desire for learning and personal growth within the home building industry
- Proficient with Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge and familiarity with local construction building codes required
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and multiple project deadlines
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, and multi-tasking
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
