We're looking for an experienced Server / Captain Server to join our casual events team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in banquet and restaurant service, enjoys leading by example, and is confident providing polished food and beverage service. Bartending experience is a solid asset.

What You'll Do

- Deliver exceptional guest service at catered events while representing Thyme & Again with professionalism and warmth
- Lead or support service teams during events, ensuring seamless execution and an outstanding guest experience
- Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms, buffets, food stations, bars, and service areas
- Serve plated meals, buffets, passed hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Prepare and serve basic cocktails and beverages while maintaining responsible alcohol service
- Monitor guest needs and provide attentive, polished service throughout events
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are maintained
- Assist with event preparation, packaging, and general event support when required
- Occasionally assist with deliveries or loading/unloading catering equipment when scheduled

Must-Have Qualifications





- Minimum 2 years of restaurant and/or banquet serving experience (required)
- French and English fluency (required)
- Experience serving food and alcoholic beverages in a professional environment
- Bartending experience or the ability to prepare standard cocktails
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and polished hospitality skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg)
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation to and from work

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience as a Captain Server or event lead
- Smart Serve Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with weddings, corporate events, and large banquets
- Valid Ontario driver's licence (asset for occasional event support)
