We partner with government and non-profit organizations to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and innovative building solutions. From multi-family housing to institutional and commercial projects, we are committed to excellence, collaboration, and community impact.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Project Site Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our construction projects. Working closely with senior project managers and site teams, you will gain hands-on experience across all stages of the construction process. This role provides the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership position while helping deliver meaningful, community-focused developments.
This position is ideal for someone early in their construction career who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to take on increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on carpentry, framing, installation, repair, demolition, and general construction work as required.
- Lead and work alongside a small site crew to complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standard.
- Follow the daily work plan and instructions provided by the Senior Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or other designated management personnel.
- Assign and clearly explain daily tasks to workers, including the required work methods, priorities, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Supervise the daily activities of assigned workers, monitor their performance and productivity, and ensure instructions are properly followed.
- Regularly inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure acceptable workmanship, accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and site instructions.
- Identify defective, incomplete, or incorrectly performed work, provide clear correction instructions, and follow up to ensure deficiencies are properly resolved.
- Monitor day-to-day site conditions and immediately report safety concerns, construction issues, delays, damaged materials, missing supplies, or other matters that may affect the project.
- Provide regular and accurate updates on work progress, crew activities, completed tasks, deficiencies, corrective actions, and outstanding items.
- Take transparent site photos and provide basic written or verbal reports explaining the work completed and any issues identified.
- Identify practical solutions to routine site problems and make recommendations to management when further direction or approval is required.
- Obtain approval before making decisions that may affect project scope, schedule, cost, subcontractors, construction methods, or overall site operations.
- Coordinate site activities such as material handling, deliveries, equipment use, work-area access, cleanup, and task sequencing as directed.
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools,
and other site equipment safely and properly.
- Assist with the operation of small construction equipment where qualified and authorized.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and ensure crew members follow company procedures and site safety requirements.
- Support subcontractors and other site personnel when required to keep the project moving forward.
- Take responsibility for assigned work, follow tasks through to completion, and promptly communicate any issue that cannot be resolved on site.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- At least 3 years experience in site coordinator, lead carpenter, skilled labour, painter, assistant foreman, or related role.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in carpentry, framing, or a related construction trade is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a team environment and leading or supervising a small crew.
- Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to understand priorities and complete assigned work on time.
- Humble, cooperative, and willing to accept feedback and follow management direction.
- Able to identify problems, propose practical solutions, and take appropriate action within the authority of the position.
- Reliable, physically capable, and proficient in the safe use of common hand tools and power tools.
