Job Summary

Duties

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate curiosity and encourage active participation
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and respect among children
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress, adapting activities to meet diverse needs and abilities
- Support children with diverse abilities through personalized caregiving strategies and tailored activities
- Engage with families regularly to communicate children's progress, share insights, and collaborate on developmental goals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment following health and safety standards




- Collaborate with team members to plan activities, share best practices, and enhance the overall quality of care and education

Requirements

- BC Early Childhood Educator certificate
- Experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and development milestones
- Ability to provide compassionate caregiving tailored to individual children's needs
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective behavior management and instructional skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Strong teaching skills combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for early childhood learning
