What You'll Actually Do

You're the hands that turn boards into product. In this role, you will:

- Build the Product, Board by Board: Assemble PCBs and mechanical components into a finished VFD, following build documentation from start to finish.
- Fix What's Broken: Modify and repair circuit boards by replacing SMT and through-hole components; troubleshoot in-process failures and implement corrective actions as required.
- Test Before It Ships: Test PCBA subassemblies and finished products prior to customer delivery.
- Team Up on the Hard Cases: Collaborate with the engineering team to diagnose complex in-process and field failures.
- Help Automate the Line: Assist in the development and deployment of automated test fixtures.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise:

- Handling printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assembling them into a finished product
- Soldering SMT and through-hole components
- Troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards
- Testing PCBA subassemblies and finished products
- IPC certification — an asset

Experience:

- 1+ year assembling circuit boards and mechanical components into a finished product — required
- 1+ year testing and troubleshooting circuit board assemblies — required
- Soldering electronic components to the IPC Class 2 standard — nice to have

Language: English is required; French is preferred for day-to-day collaboration in our Montreal office.

Our Hiring Process

We respect your time and maintain a transparent, 3-step process:

- Introductory Call (20 min): A general discussion via Google Meet to align on interest and fit.
- Technical Discussion (30 min): A technical deep-dive with the Department Head via Google Meet.
- On-Site Interview (1 hour): An in-depth technical meeting with your future colleagues and supervisor, and a tour of our office.

Job Types: Permanent, Full time

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
