Overview
Join our agile mid sized commercial construction team as a Construction Site Supervisor, where you will lead and coordinate on-site activities to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects. This role is vital in overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a key leader on the ground, you will drive project progress while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Your expertise will help turn blueprints and schematics into tangible structures, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and timelines.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to maintain smooth workflow and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
- Monitor progress against project schedules using construction management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide onsite execution accurately
- Oversee budgeting aspects related to labor, materials, and equipment to stay within project financial parameters.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in construction environments with strong leadership capabilities.
- Extensive construction experience with a solid understanding of building processes and safety protocols.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation,
- Solid knowledge of quality control procedures and best practices in construction projects.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of work quality.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural Systems
- Understanding of provincial safety standards and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
- Majority of work in the GTA but occasionally periods of travel may be required
- Valid Class G driver license
