Senior Apprentice Carpenter (3rd or 4th Year) – Commercial Construction

Location: Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Journeyman, Foreman/Superintendant.

Wilmac Construction is looking for motivated 3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Carpenters to join our growing commercial construction team across Prince Edward Island.

We work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects including fit-ups, renovations, multi-story developments, and agricultural buildings. We are looking for apprentices who want to continue developing their skills, take pride in their work, and grow their careers within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with commercial carpentry and construction activities
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Install framing, drywall, doors, hardware, ceilings, and finishes
- Perform renovations, fit-ups, and general carpentry duties
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain secure and organized work areas
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades

Qualifications

- Registered 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter preferred
- Commercial construction experience considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently and take direction
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset

Basic PPE Required:

- CSA-approved work boots
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Safety glasses

Schedule

- Full-time employment
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 44 hours per week
- Home every night – all projects located within PEI
