Mover / Driver – Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual

Location: Oshawa, Whitby and surrounding Durham Region
Pay: $18.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities, plus customer tips

About the Position

We are looking for reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Movers/Drivers to join our growing moving team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, works well with a team and takes pride in providing professional service. You will assist with residential and commercial moves throughout Oshawa, Whitby and the surrounding Durham Region.

Successful applicants must have a valid Ontario Full G driver’s licence, a clean driving abstract and the physical ability to safely lift and carry heavy furniture and moving items.

Previous moving experience is preferred, but applicants with a strong work ethic, good attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

- Safely drive company moving trucks or vans between job locations
- Load and unload furniture, appliances, boxes and other household or commercial items
- Protect customers’ belongings using moving blankets, shrink wrap, straps and other equipment
- Properly secure items inside the moving vehicle to prevent damage during transportation
- Carry furniture safely through homes, apartments, offices, hallways and stairways
- Assist with basic packing, wrapping and furniture disassembly or reassembly when required
- Follow safe lifting techniques and company safety procedures
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers and team members
- Complete moves efficiently while taking proper care of customers’ property
- Keep moving vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Report any damage, safety concerns or customer issues to the supervisor promptly

Mandatory Requirements

- Valid Ontario Full G driver’s licence
- Clean and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Ability to regularly lift,



carry and move heavy furniture and boxes
- Dependable, punctual and available for scheduled shifts
- Professional and respectful attitude when working in customers’ homes or businesses
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience with a moving company, delivery service, warehouse or other physically demanding role
- Experience driving cargo vans or moving trucks
- Knowledge of safe furniture handling, wrapping and loading techniques
- Experience using dollies, hand trucks, moving straps and other moving equipment

A commercial driver’s licence and forklift certification are not required for this position.
