About the Role

This is a adaptable hybrid position averaging 8–10 hours per week. Most drafting work can be completed remotely; however, occasional travel to our Abbotsford office, fabrication partners, suppliers, or project sites is required to review drawings, prototypes, fabrication details, and project requirements.

Working closely with our estimating, production, and project management teams, you'll prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings that support the successful manufacture and installation of our custom products.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce detailed fabrication and shop drawings using SolidWorks
- Review architectural and structural drawings
- Prepare accurate fabrication and installation drawings
- Coordinate with estimating, production, and project management teams
- Resolve constructability and fabrication issues




- Revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain drawing accuracy and company drafting standards
- Occasionally visit our office, fabrication facilities, suppliers, or project sites as required

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience drafting miscellaneous metals
- Advanced SolidWorks experience (preferred)
- Proven experience preparing shop drawings for:
- Stairs
- Guardrails and handrails
- Canopies
- Structural steel
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Strong understanding of fabrication methods and construction detailing
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Valid BC driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle for occasional business travel
